Dealing with Funky $$ Text in Obsidian

Obsidian is a powerful note-taking app with LaTex support. However, when you type "$$" in Obsidian, the text becomes colorful and behaves differently, particularly within tables. Here's a straightforward guide on why this happens and how to handle it.

Why does "$$" syntax in Obsidian triggers LaTex rendering, resulting in colorfultext. This visual indicator shows that Obsidian recognizes it as LaTex code.

Solution: To prevent LaTex rendering in obsidian. Then use backslashes to “escape” the characters.

For example: \ instead of $$. Hope this helps!

Conclusion: Obsidian provides a great note-taking experience, and with this knowledge, you can confidently use LaTex syntax ($$) while maintaining the desired appearance and structure of your notes.

Happy note-taking in Obsidian!
